Pyramid Consulting is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU for a nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVICU Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Staff Job Description : The Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit . This role requires advanced clinical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence in patient outcomes. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to post-cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, ECMO, and other high-acuity cardiovascular patients. Key Responsibilities : Provide direct patient care in the CVICU, monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Administer and titrate critical care medications, including vasoactive drips, sedation, and anticoagulants. Manage ventilators, invasive hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz, arterial lines, central lines), and advanced cardiac devices. Assist with emergent interventions such as code blue, rapid response, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding care plans, recovery, and discharge processes. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses in the unit. Qualifications : Active Georgia RN License (or Compact State RN License). BSN preferred; ADN accepted with agreement to complete BSN within specified timeframe. Minimum 1–2 years of critical care nursing experience (CVICU, ICU, CCU preferred). Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. CCRN certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Why Join Us?
