Job Summary

We are seeking Court Certified Interpreters to provide accurate and professional interpretation services during legal proceedings, including courtroom trials, depositions, client-attorney meetings, hearings, and other legal events. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and at least one other language, possesses a valid court interpreter certification, and demonstrates strong ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication between individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and English-speaking court personnel, attorneys, judges, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and remain neutral during interpretation.
• Accurately convey meaning without additions, omissions, or alterations in interpretation.
• Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibilities for court interpreters.
• Prepare for interpreting assignments by reviewing legal terminology, case files, and court procedures when applicable.
• Provide sight translation of written legal documents as required.
• Maintain timely arrival to assignments and manage scheduling commitments professionally.
• Document completed interpretation sessions and submit required reports or timekeeping records.
