Mission
USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety.
Job Description : IT Architect :
- Builds and maintains IT infrastructure models utilizing MBSE methods according to UAF standards.
- Designs and develops platform to host a global web publishing operation in support of a New Media Initiative or web-based MISO program.
- Ensures the platform is scalable and reliable to ensure maximum uptime as well as secure to protect from intrusion and denial of service attacks.
- Implements the platform under the control of an automated configuration management framework.
- Provides in-depth knowledge of information security.
- Holds responsibility for the architecture of the data framework that is required by the operations to collect and make available program performance metrics.
Required skills / duties :
Must be capable of performing analysis of system operationsMust be capable of system decomposition via OMG frameworks (UML, DoDAF 2.0 / UPDM, SysML, UAF)Must be able to model systems via different perspectives (e.g. capability, operational, system, functional) and at various levels of abstractionMust be familiar with UML modeling tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect preferred)Must be able to meet with stakeholders in a variety of system domains and analyze requirement, process, system, and / or capabilityMust be capable of extending UML-based models to other tools or modeling environments via existing frameworks / APIsMust be familiar with executable models (fUML specification preferred)Must have the ability to generate / produce data and reportsInteract and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peersExperience publishing models to web-based or document-based formatsExperience developing applications using object-oriented programming languages (Java preferred)Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer serviceAbility to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detailDesired skills :
Certification in modeling, e.g. OCSMP (OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional)Experience modeling complex systems for Department of Defense or other government organizationsWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED :
Education & Experience : Master's degree (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of experienceRequired Certifications : Security + or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or CSSLPDesired Certifications : Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) or Certified User Experience Designer (CUED), or Python Certification (PCAP or similar)Education & Experience : BA / BS or equivalent, 20+ years of experienceRequired Certifications : Security + or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or SSCPRequired : Ability to Obtain ITIL 4 Foundation ITSM Certification within the first 9 monthsDesired Certifications : TOGAF Certified Architect or Certified Web Development Professional (CWDP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or VMWare Certified Professional - Cloud Management and AutomationLocation : Onsite - Offutt AFB, Nebraska - Relocation may be available
Clearance : Must have a Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $191,404 - $258,958. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
