As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a healthcare location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Control access to the healthcare facility by verifying credentials and managing entry points for staff, visitors, and vendors.Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of persons to maintain security-related procedures specific to the healthcare location.Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and information in a customer service-oriented manner, upholding Allied Universal standards.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual circumstances according to established site and Allied Universal policies.Collaborate with hospital staff and local authorities as needed to support security-related activities and emergency responses.Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter potential security-related threats and promote a welcoming environment.What We're Looking For :

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.A guard card or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
