Job Description :

The Senior Electrical Engineer position is responsible for the design, development, validation, and maintenance of the company's technology, processes, and workflows within the electrical and electromechanical domains. You will work within a broad technological scope, from design and building of products, test fixtures and rigs, to data collection, and analysis. Focus areas of product include power supply, hardware design, functional testing, and compliance testing. You will support lifecycle workflows from concept design through validation, test, and transition to manufacturing by contract manufacturer. This involves cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across disciplines, including mechanical, software, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and business development. This position is on-site, conveniently located to I-26, I-526, in a well-appointed office space with laboratory, machining, mechanical and electrical assembly and test areas.

Examples of day-to-day tasks include :

• Digital design centered around microcontrollers and associated interfaces.
• Analog design for signal conditioning of low frequency sensor data.
• Power supply design using solid state ICs including IGBT, triac, and mosfet, with a focus on thermal management and safety.
• Generation of files and support packages for PCBA manufacturing and test.
• Maintenance of existing product electronics packages.
• Development of in-house electronics for lab use.
• Analyzing and presenting performance data to other teams and management.
