Job Description : The starting hourly wage for this role is $19.50 per hour. The Security Officer will be responsible for securing the premises and personnel by patrolling and inspecting inside and outside of the exhibit, protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, employee / guest injury, illegal activity and / or inappropriate guest / employee activity in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role will promote good working relations through courteous, helpful, and professional contact with employees, visitors, guests, and vendors / contractors. Reports directly to the Security Manager.

How you will do it

  • Support security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, and visitors.
  • Maintain a daily positive interaction with guests and employees.
  • Respond to incidents to include, but not limited to medical, company code of conduct violation by guest, and alcohol / drug in nature.
  • Complete daily reports, incident reports, supplemental reports, and other written / electronic documentation as required.
  • Escort employees and security vendors for money pickups and drop-offs.

To be successful in this role

  • Proficient in English; verbal and writing.
  • Have full and open availability to work any shift to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills.
  • Solution oriented and not stopped by "paper walls".
  • A willingness to learn.

    • It would be nice to have

  • Bi-lingual.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certified.
  • Techniques for Alcohol Management (TABC) certified.
  • Level II Non-Commission Security Officer licensed.

  • This position is a part time position. We are looking for those who have evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

    • Work environment & physical demands

  • Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.
  • Position, move, and / or lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Remain stationary for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments to include tight spaces.
