\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Job Details\n \n

  • Location : Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (Texas travel nursing jobs)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
  • Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float – Resource RN\n
  • Shifts : Night shifts, 12 hours (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM); 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per week\n
  • Hours : 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 or 12 / 15 / 2025; End : 3 / 9 / 2026)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1700–$1820\n
  • Patient Population : Adults & Geriatrics\n
  • Patient Ratios : Nights – 6 : 1\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in PCU, Med Surg, or ER holding (required)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse license (Texas or compact state, must be in hand before start)\n
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required for all travel nurse jobs)\n
  • EPIC charting experience preferred\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)\n
  • Willingness to float between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding units\n
  • Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance\n

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Med Surg, and ER holding units\n
  • Float as needed to support various hospital units based on staffing needs\n
  • Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac and respiratory cases\n
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform blood product administration\n
  • Utilize Epic for accurate charting and clinical documentation\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)\n
  • Respond to rapid response and code situations as required\n
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols\n
