Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

The College of DuPage Architecture Department seeks qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure track faculty position to teach Construction Management courses starting in August 2026.

Candidates should have academic credentials and professional experience in Architecture and / or Construction Management and should be able to teach a variety of classes which could include Building Materials, Introduction to Construction Management, Blueprint Reading, Construction Safety, Codes, Specifications, Estimating and Scheduling.

Teaching responsibilities may also include other building technology, software, or building science coursework within the Architectural Technology and Construction Management curriculum.

We are actively seeking innovative, collaborative colleagues who regularly examine their pedagogy and practices in order to foster more equitable, accessible, and inclusive student learning.

Faculty duties include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students, professional inquiry, committee work and engaging with instructional technology.

Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and / or blended formats during days, evenings and weekends. Faculty positions may not be fully remote.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture (M-Arch or B-Arch), or Masters degree Construction Management, Engineering or related fields, or Architecture or PE license, and / or professional Construction Management experience required.

Min 3 years relevant professional work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or both Professional Licensure / Certifications (AIA, NCARB, PE, Etc)

Prior teaching experience in higher education, preferably at a community college.
