Close Out Superintendent

Job Summary :

We’re looking for an experienced Close Out Superintendent to lead the final phases of our construction and development projects. You’ll ensure projects wrap up on time and within budget , overseeing everything from contractor coordination to final inspections, financial tracking, and closeout documentation. This is a key leadership role requiring strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and coordinate all close-out activities on construction sites, ensuring work meets project specs, safety standards, and schedule milestones.
  • Conduct final inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation to ensure smooth handoffs to ownership or operations teams.
  • Track and manage project budgets; review and approve invoices, analyze financial reports, and flag variances.
  • Supervise subcontractors and construction crews to ensure quality standards, timeline, and budget compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the final project stages.
  • Maintain clear, ongoing communication with stakeholders—internal teams, ownership groups, and external partners.
  • Support hiring and performance management of on-site teams; uphold company values and jobsite culture.
  • Handle required reporting : HR, financial, administrative, and project documentation.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience on construction projects.
  • 3+ years managing teams and subcontractors in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of close-out procedures, punch list management, and project turnover.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills—able to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator with strong leadership presence.
  • Proven ability to build trust and foster a positive, high-performing jobsite culture.
