Family Assistance Worker

U.P. KIDS is accepting resumes for a Family Assistance Worker. This part-time position, primarily remote, and will work with at-risk youth and families in Delta, Dickinson, and / or Menominee counties via various supportive programs with a home office in Iron Mountain or Escanaba. The position requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation / registration / insurance, willingness to travel (with mileage reimbursement or company vehicle), ability to work flexible / varied part-time hours, and experience working with children and families. Workers could provide an array of services to support the reunification of birth families and their children in foster care. These services are provided in the family home, agency office, or a mutually agreed upon location.

These services may involve modeling, demonstrating, assisting, and supervising in any of the following areas as identified in the parent agency service plan :

• Child Care
• Supervising parenting-time visitations
• Transportation to and from parenting-time visits
• Parenting Skills & Techniques
• Home Management, (including but not limited to helping the parent locate suitable home, and help establish cleaning routine)
• Money management
• Nutrition Education
• Transportation
• Writing reports and providing to case manager in a timely manner
• Testifying in court

Pay rate-no less than $19 / hr

1 year of human services experience, preferably with children preferred and valid driver's license is required
