Job Summary :
The Furnace Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the annealing furnace for proper operation. The operator ensures that furnace temperatures, timing, and materials are controlled according to specified procedures to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Load and unload materials or parts into / out of furnaces.
- Set and monitor furnace controls for temperature and belt speed according to recipe log.
- Observe the furnace and belt to ensure proper operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of furnace equipment.
- Follow heat-treating or processing specifications and adjust processes as needed.
- Inspect materials before and after processing to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working with high-temperature equipment and hazardous materials.
- Communicate with supervisors and quality control personnel regarding process issues or deviations.
