We are seeking a GSW - PSA Engineer - Network Transmission to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Transmission EMS solutions for Electric Power Utilities , ensuring seamless delivery of real-time, mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, Transmission EMS, C, Java, SQL / Oracle, and OOPS programming , with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions for utility networks.

Job Description

As a GSW - PSA Engineer - Network Transmission , you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced EMS and Transmission EMS solutions for electric utilities. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement system enhancements, and ensure high reliability in mission-critical environments. You will leverage your knowledge of SCADA, transmission networks, and software engineering best practices to deliver scalable and robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and customize Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Transmission EMS applications .

Implement and configure SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control of electric utility networks.

Perform software integration, testing, and tuning to ensure functional compliance with project requirements.

Analyze system logs, identify issues, and implement fixes and updates on live customer systems .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems and maintain operational continuity.

Utilize C, Java, SQL / Oracle, and OOPS skills to develop scalable solutions.

Deploy and maintain software on Linux and Windows operating systems .

Perform shell scripting, system configuration, and software patching for EMS applications.

Work with version control tools such as GitHub and ClearCase to manage code and configuration changes.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex EMS network issues.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in development, customization, and deployment of Energy Management Systems (EMS) .

Strong knowledge of Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations.

Experience with C, Java, SQL / Oracle Database, and OOPS programming (C++, Full Stack Java, or related) .

Hands-on experience with AEMS products, mission-critical systems, and real-time software .

Proficient in Linux and Windows OS , shell scripting, and system administration.

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to implement fixes on live customer systems with minimal downtime.
