Job Summary :

The Distribution Supervisor oversees the operations and employees of the MilliporeSigma Distribution Center. This role ensures performance standards are met, regulatory compliance is maintained, and employees are effectively trained, managed, and supported. The Supervisor drives safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring proper handling, storage, and shipment of chemicals in accordance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise a team of 20-30 employees, including training, coaching, and performance management.
• Maintain corporate quality systems, including ISO registration.
• Participate in talent selection and employee development initiatives.
• Conduct team meetings, provide daily feedback, and resolve employee relations issues.
• Enforce company safety, operational, and housekeeping standards.
• Evaluate processes, recommend improvements, and implement measures to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Review chemical handling procedures and train employees on safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Participate in emergency response teams (hazardous materials, medical, evacuation).
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Conduct audits for compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and training documentation.
• Monitor resources, schedule workloads, and assign staff to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
• Track labor and material costs to control operational expenses.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure proper storage, packing, and shipment of chemicals in compliance with DOT, CFR, IATA, IMO, and corporate policies.

Experience :

5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
