Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a CRNA Anesthesia for a locum tenens job in Salem, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : Anesthesia
  • Discipline : CRNA
  • Duration : 26 weeks
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift : 8 hours, days
  • Employment Type : Locum Tenens
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM
  • Call : None – no nights, weekends, or call
  • Primary Role : Standard OR anesthesia coverage under medical direction with anesthesiologists

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Status : Board Eligible / Board Certified
  • Certification : Active NBCRNA certification required for hospital credentialing
  • Experience : Open to recent graduates; spinal experience preferred but not required
  • Procedures Required :

    • General Surgery

  • Endoscopy
  • Gynecology
  • Orthopedics (including spine, total joints)
  • Robotics (DaVinci)
  • Urology
  • OB anesthesia
  • Cath Lab & IR Lab
  • Not Required : Cardiac, epidural, or peripheral nerve blocks

    • Practice Details

  • Setting : Main / General ORs; specialized providers may float as needed
  • Care Team Model : CRNAs working under anesthesiologist medical direction
  • Support Staff : RNs, Certified Surgical Technologists, limited Licensed Surgical Assistants (no APPs outside physician practices)
  • Volume : 25–35 OR cases per day
  • Facility : 11 ORs + 2 cardiac ORs
  • Trauma : Level II (in process)
  • Case Mix :

    • DaVinci robotics

  • Total joints
  • General surgery
  • GYN, breast, plastics
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Pediatric dental
  • OB / L&D
  • Pain management
  • CVOR (only for select CRNAs with specialized training)
  • EMR : Paper charting system (no EMR)
