About The Position

We are seeking a Geriatric Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas, beginning Aug 11, 2025. This role involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, managing a patient panel with the goal of preventing hospital admissions. The focus will be on geriatric and preventative medicine in a community health setting.

  • LOA : 120 days
  • Provider Type Needed : Geriatric Physician
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, first patient at 8 : 30 AM, last patient at 4 : 20 PM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care focusing on geriatric and preventative medicine.
  • Engage in detailed patient consultations, ensuring thorough understanding and management of chronic conditions.
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks for accurate coding, charting, and EMR management.
  • Implement strategies aimed at keeping patients out of the hospital.
  • Maintain an organized workflow and demonstrate technological proficiency in managing health records.

  • Required Board Certifications : Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine
  • Must hold a valid Arkansas medical license.
  • Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience post-residency, preferably in community health centers dealing with chronic care cases.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
