job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProcess daily accounting operations, including ACH, share drafts, and wires. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Support external and internal audits, examinations, and regulatory reporting. Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements. Assist members and staff with accounting-related inquiries in alignment with PSCUs mission and values. Collaborate with leadership on projects, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 35 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred. Prior credit union or financial institution accounting experience. Familiarity with core banking / accounting systems. Typical Schedule Hours : MF 8 : 30 am 5 : 00 pm Status : Full-Time, Exempt Location : 2800 E 14th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64127 Starting Salary : $55K - $80K, depending on experience Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance all paid 100% for employees.
