Emergency Medicine Locums - Belton, Missouri - Urgent Critical Need Step into a high-priority emergency medicine role where your skills can make an immediate difference. This short-term, fast-paced assignment offers diverse cases, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to serve both a main hospital and affiliated freestanding ERs.
Position Highlights :
- Urgent start - 3-month assignment
- Multiple shift options : 7a-5p, 1p-11p, 9p-7a, 7p-7a, 7a-7p
- Equivalent of 4 full-time positions to be filled
- Flexibility required for days, nights, and weekends
- Opportunity to work at both main hospital campus and affiliated FSERs
- Main hospital may offer shifts under 12 hours; FSER shifts are 12 hours
- Average daily census : 81 patients
- Higher proportion of Level 4 and 5 patients, plus critical cases requiring intubation and central lines
- ICU onsite; no peds, plastics, neuro IR, cath lab, or OB
- Common cases include general ED presentations with occasional high-acuity patients
- Standard ER procedures required
- Robots used : Neurology, Psychiatric
- Annual ER admission rate : 12%
- Must have ATLS, ACLS, and PALS
- EM residency trained required
