Overview

Do you have experience working with front-line employees and leaders in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar fast-paced environment?
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Field HR, the Sr. Field HR Generalist provides hands-on support and guidance for manufacturing plant employees and leaders across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance and conflict management, investigations, policy and legal compliance, coaching and training, workforce planning, disciplinary action and terminations, and accurate record-keeping. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, on-the-floor role where HR is a visible, knowledgeable, action-oriented resource that identifies solutions and solves problems to enhance both the employee experience and business success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary, on-site HR point of contact for employees and leaders at assigned manufacturing plant(s), providing answers to HR-related questions and delivering proactive HR support
- Effectively manage, investigate, document, and resolve employee concerns and complaints, ensuring equitable, consistent, and compliant resolutions in a timely manner
- Advise, coach, train, and assist plant leaders in understanding and applying company policies and practices, managing performance, and delivering disciplinary action and terminations
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for open plant roles, including confirming job requirements, crafting job postings, sourcing, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and delivering positive candidate and hiring manager experiences
- Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure accurate onboarding, payroll processing, benefits enrollment, leave management, and HR data maintenance and reporting
- Participate in the design and implementation of HR programs and initiatives, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree requiredDemonstrated hands-on, customer-service oriented HR or related support in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar front-line driven environmentWorking knowledge of various HR subject areas, best practices, and current applicable federal, state, and local legal requirementsProficiency in MS Office and Paycom or similar HRIS / Payroll systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent English; bilingual fluency in Spanish preferredAbility to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretionAbility to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and stakeholdersStrong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsAdditional job details
