12-hour night shifts, with weekend requirements of every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Med Surg Telemetry unit, which includes working with various patient populations such as oncology, orthopedic, and urology. Nurses are expected to float between units as needed and assist with ED hold patients. Ensuring patient safety and comfort, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs are core responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a telemetry monitoring environment.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Perform assessments and assist in developing care plans.

Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in specialty.

BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred.

NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start.

New York State nursing license or proof of application required.
