Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks. AutoCAD is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity in Bluebeam. Solid comprehension of IPC / UPC and IBC standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with design and construction team members. Strong desire to achieve technical and personal development aligned with performance goals. Effective time management skills and adaptability complementing a fast-paced design build landscape. The Role We Want You For
The Senior Plumbing Designer will be working with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to provide Plumbing Design and Quality Assurance on projects for our nationwide clients.
Projects will consist of life science, distribution, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, or other industrial process markets for existing building improvements and new construction.
The Specifics of the Role
- Develop plumbing designs based upon a strong understanding of building codes, engineering principles, and industry standards.
- Ability to perform, or assist in performing, plumbing calculations necessary for system layout and sizing.
- Perform as responsible in charge of the plumbing system answering questions and making decisions during design, contractor, and client meetings.
- Effective completion of plumbing designs meeting budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Balancing plumbing design of multiple projects of various sizes and complexity.
- Collaborate in a team environment with the architect, fellow engineers / designers, and the contractor from project birth through completion.
- Project work may include conceptual design, schematic design, and full construction documentation (drawings and specifications).
