Base pay range

$45.00 / hr - $55.00 / hr

Position : Multi-Disciplined Engineer II / Controls (PLC) Technician Req# : CRNGJP00028703

Location : Newton, NC (100% Onsite)

Duration : 12+ Months Contract (potential to extend)

Monday through Friday, 8-5, but can be slightly flexible with the exact hours.

Job Description :

Looking for a Controls (PLC) Technician capable of a high degree of independence while taking direction from a Senior Controls Engineer. Applicant should be able to program, source components, order components, and troubleshoot wiring and coding with minimal oversight.

Education required :

  • Desired AAS or Higher. 3 additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of formal education (for a total of 10).
  • 7+ Years working with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming
  • Knowledge of controls systems design, programming, and systems integration
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written & oral communications skills
  • Actively participate in all phases of projects including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and technology transfer.
  • The individual must be capable of executing project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities :

  • Provide 2nd-level technical expertise in PLC controls-based troubleshooting and continuous improvement in support of new production line installation.
  • Follow direction from a Sr Controls Engineer.
  • Enhance manufacturing capabilities through the implementation of new ideas and methods.
  • Independently execute project objectives to fulfill overall project goals and milestones.
