Overview

My client, a $3B global engineering contractor, seeks a Senior Procurement Engineer to support its growing business and high-visibility programs. This role serves as a key liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders—including Executives, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing—ensuring efficient execution of major projects. This position will manage a $100M spend of electro-mechanicals such as : switchgears, cable, UPS's, busstacks, electronics, etc. for the assigned project.

Locations : Positions are available in Virginia and Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning during bidding and project execution phases
• Source, qualify, and manage vendors; develop RFPs and analyze proposals
• Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements
• Develop and implement procurement plans post-award
• Monitor market conditions to optimize pricing, lead times, logistics, and compliance
• Interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure complete scope coverage
• Travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed
