Job Overview

Bridgewater State University (BSU) Aviation / Flight Operations is seeking a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) to provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation and the ability to provide high-quality training to students at various levels of flight training and experience.

The successful candidate will have an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane certification and a current and valid FAA Medical Certificate. They will also have the ability to demonstrate safe practices and procedures at all times when operating in the aviation environment and provide effective flight instruction to students.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with BSU's flight training program and FAA policies and procedures
• Comply with all applicable BSU and FAA regulations to ensure the highest quality of training is provided to assigned students
• Demonstrate instructional knowledge of required material and impart said knowledge to students with a high degree of accuracy and skill

Working Conditions

This is a non-benefitted, temporary position with no guarantee of continued employment. The hourly rate is commensurate with level of certification, ranging from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
