Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role in a fast-paced Level 2 Trauma Center, requiring Epic EMR experience and advanced certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 54-bed Emergency Department of a busy Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Care for a high-acuity, diverse patient population with an average of 220 patients per day
  • Evening shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 1 : 00 PM to 1 : 00 AM
  • Requires use of Epic EMR and experience with this system
  • Modules completed during orientation and annually, with average duration of 4-8 hours
  • Care for high-acuity emergency patients in a fast-paced trauma environment
  • Additional modules and online learning requirements are completed upon hire and annually
  • Holiday time off for only one of the three major holidays may be requested, but approval is not guaranteed
  • Requests for time off must be submitted in advance for approval
  • References required for consideration

  • Active MD or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent hospital Emergency Department experience required
  • At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience required
  • Certifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Completion of 2-step PPD and current flu vaccination required
