Responsibilities Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with 32 beds Night shift position, 4x12 hour shifts from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00 Patient ratio is 1 : 6 Required to work 6 weekend shifts within each 6-week period Floating required to similar units within scope of practice as needed Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis No on-call required Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred but not required Must be prepared to float to similar units within scope based on facility needs Brief orientation provided for floated units Documentation system training modules completed onsite during orientation Scrub color is flexible as long as there is no hospital logo No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation No travel pairs or groups accepted Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred Epic charting experience preferred First-time travelers are accepted Former perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before eligible Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628389.
