Cornell Pump Company is seeking a full-time Pump Test Mechanic to work in our Testing Department in the Clackamas, OR location.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00-$28.00 (DOE)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION :
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the quality and performance of our pumps by setting up equipment, running tests, and reviewing results with engineers. You'll also gain hands-on experience with light pump assembly and support the team during peak production times-making a direct impact on products that serve industries worldwide.
What You'll Do :
Assists in the process of RMA evaluation and processing.Computer abilities such as MS Office, ERP systems, creating work orders, and processing RMA documentation.Design and build test loops in preparation for pump testingSet up pumps for performance testingExamine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications with measuring tools such as dial indicators or calipersConfers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to design specifications and to review test plansActivates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject the test item to successive steps in the test cycleMonitors, controls, and instruments and records test data for the engineer's reviewTest Lab maintenance & improvementKeeps machines and work area clean and free of debris.Able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and other lifting devicesFollow all safety precautions and practice safe working habits.QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION AND / OR WORK EXPERIENCE :
Two years of minimum related Mechanical Experience (required)
2-year degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred)
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :
Mechanical ability, teamwork, and computer skills.Experience in using tools like calipers, hydraulic templates, and other lab equipment.Knowledge of safety practices and lifting device operation.Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices.Applicants have rights under Federal Employment Laws.
