Flanagan, Barone & O’Brien, LLC (“FBO”) is a successful, growing firm which embraces diversity in seeking to build a strong team of professionals. FBO is currently seeking a senior trusts and estates paralegal with 7+ years of experience. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong litigation team.
Responsibilities :
- Administration of trusts and estates including probate of wills, inventory of assets and valuations, preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns, refunding bonds
- Preparation of estate planning documents including wills and trusts
- Managing of all aspects of real estate closings, including ability to review and draft real estate transaction documents and prepare matter for closing
Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor’s degree; paralegal certificate preferred7+ years’ experience as a trusts and estates paralegal involving estate planning as well as administration of trusts and estatesExperience handling varied aspects of trusts and estatesExperience handling real estate closingsExperience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, discovery and trial preparationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailClear and effective communication skills both oral and writtenStrong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word; EXCEL; GEMS estate tax software desirableMust be able to work independently and be proactiveMust be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands dailyAbility to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to maintain / enter billable timeCandidate must demonstrate a commitment to providing quality client service and adhere to work completion deadlines.
