Quality Control Technician / Water Activity Analyst-2nd Shift

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Daily picking of ALL products for water activity testing. Pulling samples from production rooms, packaging room, and bins from our other facility. Water activity is a preventative control in this facility, and will be heavily scrutinized.
• Performing product moisture analysis under the supervision of the Food Scientist.
• Completing all 247 paperwork and documenting all water activity number so that the morning QC worker can sign off on them.
• Gathering the days finished product samples, filling out the Midwest Sample Forms, and packaging them up to send overnight to Midwest Labs. Shipping will not take place at night, only in the morning.
• Sample Retention : all the days' samples must be put into their designated monthly plastic containers. Once the month ends, containers are organized and placed in the sample room.
• Communication is key. You will be expected to work well with others.

Training Required : SQF Refresher Training, Food Defense, Food Safety and GMPs, HACCP Awareness, Allergen Management and Control, Chemical Control, Hygiene Policy, Pest Control and Awareness, SOP for Machines, AllerSnap Swab Sampling, Thermometer Usage and Procedures, Oven CCPs, Document Control and Records.
