Title : Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Step-Down\nLocation : Hackensack, NJ 07601\nDuration : 13 Weeks\nShift : Nights – 3×12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)\n\nPay Rate : $2,450 Weekly Gross\n\nPosition Overview\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU Step-Down team at a leading healthcare facility in Hackensack, NJ. This position involves providing high-acuity nursing care to patients recovering from critical or post-surgical conditions, including those requiring cardiac and vascular monitoring. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver comprehensive nursing care for ICU Step-Down patients.\n
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.\n
• Conduct patient assessments, determine priorities for care, and implement individualized plans.\n
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and post-surgical recovery progress.\n
• Perform therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols.\n
• Document all care activities in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.\n
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and adherence to care policies.\n
• Float to other critical care or step-down units within competency as required.\n
• Support ongoing quality improvement and professional development initiatives.\n
• Provide patient-centered care aligned with the organization's nursing practice model.\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience : \n
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ICU or Step-Down / Progressive Care (required).\n
• Cardiac, vascular, and post-surgical step-down experience strongly preferred.\n\nEducation : \n
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) – required.\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.\n\nLicensure & Certifications : \n
• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact State License (required).\n
• BLS – AHA (required).\n
• ACLS – AHA (required).\n
• NIHSS Certification (required).\n
• 4-Hour CEU Contact in Stroke Education (required).\n\nSchedule\n
• Full-time, 3×12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM).\n
• May float to similar units based on facility needs.\n
