Work Year : 2024-2025 School Year - 180 days

Salary : $25 per hour

Qualifications :

• Applicants should hold an Associate's degree and be fluent in Burmese.
• Completed or currently enrolled in one of the interpreter training courses below or equivalent :
• Southern NH Area Health Education Center
• Language Bank Training
• Massachusetts Medical Interpreter Training
• Northshore Community College
• UNH Medical Interpreter (Spanish / English)
• Nashua Community College Medical Interpreter Training (Spanish / English)

Summary Responsibilities :

The educational interpreter / translator facilitates communication among students and parents who speak languages other than English. They provide interpreting and additional support services to students and parents needing assistance with English. Proficiency in written translation is required.
