Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a current CA RN license and strong L&D skills in a high-risk, culturally diverse setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a labor and delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • Care for high-risk OB patients in a culturally diverse population
  • RN circulates on cesarean sections
  • Use of Epic EMR system is required
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18 : 00–6 : 30)
  • Every other weekend shifts are required
  • Floating between similar units or nearby affiliate hospitals is required
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Must be willing to work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
  • RTO must be requested at the time of application; limited RTO is approved at management discretion
  • Return staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers
  • Scrub attire in any solid color is acceptable, with royal blue or navy typically preferred
  • Free parking provided initially, with assignment-specific parking during orientation
  • Modules must be completed before start and annually as required
  • Candidates living within a 50-mile radius are accepted

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
  • Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the past 3 years in a comparable setting
  • References can include Charge RNs or Leads
