We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer to support Apple and Google DTaaS (Device as a Service) operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, Networking, Hardware, and Cloud Infrastructure . This role involves onsite deployment, troubleshooting, and integration to ensure smooth enterprise operations and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure.
  • Support on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of Apple and Google devices under DTaaS operations.
  • Manage Linux-based systems and perform advanced troubleshooting tasks.
  • Configure and maintain networks, VLANs, routing, and security
  • Handle hardware installation, cabling, and ILO / OOB interface setup
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
  • Automate system configurations using Ansible, Bash, or Python
  • Administer Windows and Active Directory environments when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  • Provide end-user support and ensure timely resolution of incidents and escalations.

Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • In-depth understanding of cluster architecture (controller, scheduler, kubelet, kube-proxy, deployments, daemon-sets, stateful-sets).
  • Knowledge of CSI, CNI , and Custom Resources
  • Experience with IAM configuration and access management

    • Networking Basics

  • Expertise in switching, VLANs, subnetting, routing , and network troubleshooting.
  • Solid grasp of DHCP, DNS, TLS protocols.
  • Proficiency with Linux networking tools (ip, tcpdump, dig, netstat, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of OS management, systemd, PXE boot, containers, and namespaces.
  • Proficiency with bash, vim, tmux, ssh
  • Strong Bash or Python scripting experience.
  • Proficient in ILO, OOB interfaces , and physical cabling management.

    • Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Service Mesh (Istio) : Understanding of Envoy Proxy and service mesh architecture.
  • PKI : SSL certificates, Root / Intermediate CAs, and OpenSSL.
  • Advanced Networking : Cisco switches, VxLANs (eVPN), VRFs, OSPF, LLDP, BGP.
  • Windows Administration : PowerShell, Config Manager, DSC, and GPOs.
  • Ansible : Writing and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Prometheus : Architecture, alert definitions, and deployment experience.

    • Optional Skills

  • Monitoring : Grafana and Loki dashboards.

    • Soft Skills

  • Leadership (2+ Min.) Demonstrates initiative, leads projects, and resolves ambiguity with a results-driven approach.
  • Googleyness (3+ Min.) Team-oriented, humble, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Communication (2+ Min.) Communicates clearly, resolves conflicts, and maintains professionalism under pressure.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Certifications such as CKA, RHCE, AWS / Azure, or Apple Certified Support Professional
  • 5+ years of experience in field engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure.

    • Evaluation Criteria
