Speech Language Pathologist Position Description

The Speech Pathologist is responsible for facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility.

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) :

Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.

Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.

Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.

Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

One (1) year of experience required.

Current state of practice Speech Language Pathologist License required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
