Adult Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
Fulltime position
- Free supervision for licensure, professional development training and mentorship
- Supervision available for interns of marriage and family, mental health, and social work
- Report directly to Program Manager
- Ideal for Florida Registered Therapist Interns who appreciate collaborative team environment, and are seeking a clinical career that is diverse and not strictly one-on-one counseling

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) has been an industry leader in providing quality care for almost 50 years and is seeking a certified substance abuse counselor for our Adult Program. This role is responsible for providing group counseling and support services to clients recovering from addiction to substance, drugs or alcohol. The position is responsible for the overall design and implementation of the facility's substance abuse group services in Residential, Partial, and our daytime Intensive Outpatient programs, following La Amistad program philosophy. The counselor will also coordinate with community partners, connecting our clients with off-site resources. Duties include evaluating and treating patients' mental health through group therapy, collaborating with treatment team members, and providing support to our clients.
