Base pay range : $77,048.00 / yr - $92,457.00 / yr

Role description

Arcadis is seeking a Stormwater Engineer to join our North Carolina drainage practice. We have a strong backlog of work and need to expand our NC team in Charlotte, Greensboro or Raleigh. Under the direction of our Senior Hydraulic Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will challenge you and provide growth in your career. We have a flexible work environment allowing you to work with a team on local, national, and international projects from the office and / or home.

Key responsibilities

• Engineering design for numerous roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the southeast.
• Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control.
• Prepare construction plans and project displays.
• Prepare cost estimates, reports and technical memos.
• Utilize various design software including Open Roads, Microsoft Excel, GIS, HEC-RAS, HY8, FlowMaster, ICPR, StormCAD, SMS, SRH2D, and HEC-RAS 2D to assist with the design and preparation of construction plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, ecologists, and roadway engineers.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
