As a Staff Ruby on Rails Engineer, youll play a central role in architecting, developing, and optimizing core backend systems that power millions in financial transactions. Youll collaborate closely with engineering leadership, product, and design to enhance the platforms scalability, reliability, and overall user experience while contributing to the modernization of a robust Rails monolith and related services.

Job Details

7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time in Ruby on Rails.

Proven experience designing, building, and scaling production systems.

Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and API development.

Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

Familiarity with Node.js, GCP, and cloud-based infrastructure.

Ability to lead architectural initiatives and mentor other engineers.

Strong collaboration skills working cross-functionally with Product and Design.

Track record of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Experience balancing new feature development with refactoring and technical debt reduction.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
