Position Overview
We are seeking Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team in Austin, TX. Our electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.
As a Journeyman you will :
- Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, and other systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and alarm systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility
- Assemble and install conduits, then connect wiring through them
- Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables
- Diagnose electrical hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units
Requirements
5+ years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settingsTenant Improvement experience (Class A)Ability to complete projects from start to finish independentlyExperience with lighting control systemsProficiency in conduit installation, wiring, panel systems, and troubleshootingValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordTDLR Journeyman Electrician LicenseWillingness to pass a drug screeningAssociated Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to accurately identify wires and perform electrical testsProblem-solving and critical thinking skillsKnowledge of circuits and electrical systemsTime management and ability to meet deadlinesCore Job Competencies
