Overview
The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves database installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to support business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and resources.
- Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Implement and maintain database security, permissions, and access controls.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application and infrastructure needs.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.Strong skills in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.Knowledge of backup / recovery strategies and high availability solutions (e.g., Always On, replication).Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.Senioritty level
