Electrical And Plumbing Project Coordinator

Grand Bay Electric is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Electrical And Plumbing Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling, permitting, and coordinating a variety of complex electrical and plumbing projects across the state of Michigan. Your ability to manage multiple moving parts, collaborate with utilities, and ensure smooth project execution will be essential to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Scheduling :

Schedule and coordinate installation dates for electrical and plumbing projects, including but not limited to :

Electrical service upgrades

  • Electric panel upgrades
  • Generator installations
  • Water heater installations
  • Multi-phase electrical and plumbing projects
  • Communicate directly with homeowners to confirm scheduling, review the scope of work, and outline project timelines.
  • Permitting :

    • Apply for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical permits through various Michigan municipalities using online portals, mail, and email.

  • Track and monitor permit statuses to ensure timely receipt and prevent project delays.
  • Inspection Coordination :

    • Schedule and confirm electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections in accordance with project timelines.

  • Utility Coordination :

    • Collaborate with electric utility companies to arrange temporary power disconnects and reconnects for service and panel upgrades.

  • Coordinate with natural gas and liquid propane providers to facilitate generator installation projects.

    • Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in project coordination, scheduling, or permitting (experience in electrical or plumbing industries preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using online permit portals, email, and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with homeowners, utility companies, and municipal offices.
  • Familiarity with Michigan permitting processes is a plus.
