Civil Engineer

Selectek is seeking a Civil Engineer for our partnering company in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Candidates in this role will be working on an array of projects, but the firm's primary focus is transportation and roadway work.Â

Employment Type : Contract-to-Direct

Location : Sandy Springs, GA

Expected Pay Range : $ 40.00-$60.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00a-5 : 00p. Hybrid work schedule of three in-office days and two days working from home will be available after orientation period.Â

Job Requirements : •   Bachelor’s Degree - Civil EngineeringÂ

•   Civil 3DÂ

•   Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience (will consider higher level and PE's as well)Â

•   Experience with site development, hydrology, stormwater managementÂ

•   General knowledge of basic fundamental engineering principles including but not limited to surveying, geometrics, hydraulics, grading, CM, floodplain management and utility designÂ

 In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties :

• Perform assignments using prescribed methods requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria

• Perform calculations and analysis using fundamental engineering formulas

• Design and layout of plans and details

• Adjust & correlate data, research code issues, design options and document findings

• Organize and maintain project files

• Prepare plans, special provisions and estimates

• Preparation of letter reports and project correspondence

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines

• Communicate with (internal & external) others clearly and professionally in both technical and non-technical terms.

• Manage a team of professionals

• Preparation of proposals, project scope and budgeting

• Prepare Specifications as required to support CD’s
