Security Professional - Truck Gate Officer

As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic logistics and distribution location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on-site. With a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach, you will contribute to a secure environment by leveraging technology and strong communication skills, making a meaningful impact every day.

Pay Rate : $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Thur 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Fri 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sat 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sun 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and / or visitors in a logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify identification credentials and provide access to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Document unusual activities and / or incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report concerns.
  • Support Allied Universal and client procedures by carrying out security-related assignments as directed.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
