Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in New York requiring 5 years of current ED experience and EPIC proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
  • Requires working every other weekend and holidays
  • Caregiver must be able to evaluate mental health crises within the ED
  • EMR system used is EPIC and prior experience is required
  • Must pass a ECG (electrocardiogram) exam upon arrival with a score of at least 85%; study materials provided prior to start
  • Facility requires a physical exam prior to start; candidate is responsible for cost
  • Seasonal flu vaccination is required, with medical or religious documentation needed at least 10 days before start
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active New York State RN license is required
  • Minimum of 5 years current Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Current certifications required : ACLS, PALS, BLS
  • Must be skilled in crisis evaluation for mental health patients
  • EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
  • Candidates cannot reside in specific NY counties including Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, and Albany
  • Candidates must not have been staff at this facility in the past year or with AMC network facilities in the past six months
