Publishing Associate (Sales Development)

Palmetto Publishing is a one-stop, full-service publisher dedicated to independent writers. We take the time to learn about each author, their book, and goals to develop a personalized publishing package to turn manuscripts into a published book.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Publishing Associate (Sales Development) located in Mount Pleasant, SC. The goal of the Publishing Associate is to qualify incoming leads (authors) to ensure they are the right fit for our services. Qualified authors will be connected directly with a Publishing Consultant to progress the sales opportunity. The Publishing Associate will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, nurturing leads, building and maintaining client relationships, and facilitating the sales process. Daily tasks include answering all inbound calls, responding to contact forms through outbound calls / emails / texts, scheduling consultations, and collaborating with the sales team to create a smooth author experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service experience and ability to build client relationships
• Sales and marketing skills with experience in lead generation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Quick-thinking and adaptable with a strong instinct for problem-solving
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred
