Senior Content Development Administrator

Overview

Role responsible for guiding and supervising scoring directors assigned to projects, ensuring consistent application of customers' scoring decisions, and contributing to content development and quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Work with the project manager to complete quality management plans, rangefinding plans, and other project documentation as required.

Plan content hours for assigned projects.

Identify, train, and develop scoring directors and supervisors for future content roles; conduct interventions and coaching as needed.

Complete Scoring Director Feedback Forms and provide timely feedback to scoring directors and scoring managers.

Collaborate with scoring directors to create online training modules for assigned projects and review training sets and annotations for quality feedback.

Ensure proper documentation, sign-off, and archival of all scoring decisions and final training materials.

Guide scoring directors in completing project item evaluations and review them prior to customer submission.

Monitor quality across grades and items; address quality issues and communicate plans to content manager and project manager.

Analyze and report on scoring performance, participate in root-cause analysis, and implement process improvements as needed.

Attend project status and customer meetings; serve as primary customer contact for content-related communications.

May perform scoring director duties when necessary and may assist with new bids, proposals, budgeting, and mentoring of other project staff.

Qualifications and Skills

Strong internal and external customer service skills and excellent communication abilities (including for distributed projects and program team meetings).

Excellent writing skills; ability to develop scorer training, coach content staff on annotations and scoring decisions, and document project-related content.

Strong content-specific knowledge with ability to develop and coach staff on projects.

Understanding of scoring concepts (e.g., frequency distribution, validity, calibration) and ability to apply this knowledge to scoring situations.

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google tools, and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.

Ability to supervise large groups and exercise initiative, organization, and leadership under tight deadlines.

Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.

Education and Experience

Required : Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred / Desirable : Two (2) years as a Scoring Director or five (5) years as a Scoring Supervisor in open-ended scoring; background / experience in educational measurement; experience directing regional and distributed supervisors; strong knowledge of scoring system reports and data management; teaching experience in K-12.

Advanced degree is a plus; degree in education, English, mathematics, science, or language.

Teaching experience in grades K-12.

Working Conditions

Office environment; may work in warehouse conditions on occasion.

Ability to travel and work evening and / or weekend shifts as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $28.10 per hour. This position is not bonus eligible. Information on benefits offered is available here.
