Restaurant General Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. This is a hands-on, working manager role requiring active involvement in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain high operational standards, and drive the restaurant's success through effective leadership and teamwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversees the restaurant operations to ensure high quality food, cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ensures excellent customer service and experience. Addresses customer complaints and resolves problems.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate inventory to meet operational needs.
- Ensures that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.
- Recruits, interviews, and hires restaurant employees; plans, assigns and directs work, conducts performance evaluations, rewards and disciplines, motivates and trains team members.
- Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure efficient operation. Promote suggestive selling techniques.
- Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss daily operations, procedures, store promotions, safety, security, and training. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintaining professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.
- Promote, support and encourage local marketing to increase restaurant sales.
- Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds
Qualifications :
Must have a true passion for food and quality.Strong focus on quality control and cleanliness. Ensure that food is properly handled and prepared by employees, following all sanitation and safety procedures, to produce the freshest product.Hands on management style, this position is expected to work alongside employees in the restaurant while also overseeing the operation.Serve Safe Certification or able to obtain within 30 days.Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey information and ideas through a variety of media;Leadership qualities. Must be able to build a team and align employee actions with the plans established to achieve business goals. Requires the ability to inspire confidence and gain respect of kitchen team, supervisors, and owners.Ability to remain calm, maintain order and thrive under pressure.Previous restaurant management and marketing experience.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Office, and Excel, POS software.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.Education Background :
High school diploma or GED.Some college preferred.Schedule / Compensation :
