Job Title : Seafood Market Cashier

Location : Newport Seafood market, 800 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, Rhode Island 02842

Job Type : Part-Time

Job Summary : We are seeking a friendly and reliable Seafood Market Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently. As a Seafood Market Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth checkout process for our customers, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using the POS system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about seafood products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
  • Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of seafood products is a plus.
