About The Position

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (5 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM)

Experience : Minimum 18 months of ICU experience

License : Must have in-state license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

Experience in managing higher patient ratios in an ICU setting.

Comfortable with a combination of medical surgical, progressive care, and intensive care patients.

Able to float within the facility to meet needs.

Open to accommodating block scheduling.

Willing to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Description :

This is an ICU RN position in an acuity-adaptable unit.

The unit cares for a mix of medical surgical, progressive care, and intensive care patients.

Patient ratios vary between 1 : 2-5 based on acuity.

The role requires experience with high ratios and comfort in ICU settings.

First-time travelers are accepted if they possess all the necessary skills.

The unit has an interdisciplinary support team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Daily patient diagnoses may include conditions such as cellulitis, pneumonia, heart failure, and acute kidney disease.

The staff collaborates with various specialties to provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric populations.

Special procedures performed may involve managing post-surgical patients from orthopedic procedures.

Candidates must have proficiency in handling various medical equipment and procedures specific to ICU, including ventilator management and blood product administration.

Travelers will be required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

All travelers are expected to adhere to hospital policies, and must complete standard compliance requirements.
