Job Opportunity With City Of Hallandale Beach

The City of Hallandale Beach is seeking candidates for a position with a salary range of $60,323.69 to $102,550.27 annually. This full-time role is located in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The job number is 2024-159 and is within the Community Redevelopment Agency department. The closing date for applications is continuous.

The work objective is to assist with the planning and implementation of the Community Development Agency's Economic Development Program. This role involves a wide range of duties related to the development, expansion, retention of existing businesses, and attraction of new businesses. The employee will also provide support to minority and small business enterprises. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing projects or programs intended to stimulate economic growth throughout the CRA. Work is performed under the direction and general guidance of the CRA Economic Development Manager with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, and three or more years of experience leading successful economic and business development efforts. Education may supplement required experience. Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. NIMS certification is required or must be obtained within one year of employment. A valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is also required.

Additional information includes the possibility of an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include evaluation of training and experience, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, background investigation, medical evaluation, and controlled substance screen. Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products to be considered for employment.
