Responsibilities Position is in a busy Adult Emergency Department serving 350-440 patients per day with up to 120 treatment areas Required to work 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm-7 : 30am) with every other weekend and holiday coverage Must be able to work all three shifts as needed per unit requirements Floating required to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15 unless candidate has previous pediatric experience) Patient ratio is typically 1 : 4-5, based on acuity Travelers are not assigned to trauma rooms Responsibilities include providing care to a diverse and high-acuity adult patient population in the emergency setting Must demonstrate flexibility in shift scheduling and floating to different ED units Care for older pediatric patients (age 15) in the Pediatric ED if no pediatric experience EPIC EMR experience is preferred Must be able to identify arrhythmias accurately and manage telemetry responsibilities Must cover every other holiday as per unit rotation Travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration Certifications required : TNCC, BLS, ACLS (all must be current and unexpired) Minimum of 1.5 years recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2 years recent Level III / IV ED experience Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identification of heart blocks Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (may be attempted twice) Level I trauma experience required Two professional references required, one must be from a manager and both must include recent performance evaluations; one must be within the past 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622514.
