Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring a TN or compact license, strong EKG skills, and night shift availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
  • Patient ratio is typically 1 : 7-8, with potential use of a team nursing model if ratios exceed 8
  • Night shifts scheduled as three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Floating is required in alignment with clinical experience and unit needs
  • Cerner is the EMR used, and experience with Cerner is preferred but not required
  • Uses Omnicell for medication administration
  • Annual and orientation modules are required and completed through the facility's internal system
  • Team nursing model may be implemented based on census and staffing needs
  • Holiday and surrounding holiday week RTO requests are not accommodated; any such requests are to be addressed onsite with management
  • Blocked scheduling requests are not permitted
  • Travel teams who are related or married cannot work on the same unit
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
  • Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted

  • Active TN or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
  • Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start
  • Travel RN experience in Med / Surg or Telemetry required
  • Licenses and certifications must not expire within 45 days of the start date
  • Candidates cannot have been a permanent staff member at the same campus within the past 24 months
